The City, University of London is looking to appoint an outstanding academic with a good track record in mathematical and computational methods of biomedical signal/data analysis who can demonstrate the application of these methods to selected domains of high importance for Biomedical Engineering and Healthcare (eg biomedical signal and system analysis, medical imaging, clinical diagnostics and treatment monitoring).  Relevant research interests could include:  Health Tech Algorithms;  ML/AI in Healthcare/Biomedical Engineering;  Biosignal Deep Learning;  Clinical/Physiological/Wearable Monitoring;  Digital Health;  Mobile healthcare.   Appointment will be at Professorial level and could be on promotion to Professor.

The new Professor will play a leading role in the Research Centre for Biomedical Engineering, an established research centre which is part of the Institute of Sensors and Instrumentation.   The successful candidate will enjoy access to state of the art facilities – equipment and laboratories.  The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop an internationally recognised research group, to facilitate inter-disciplinary research links and to play a part in the delivery of high quality teaching in this exciting and growing area.
