A 4-year predoctoral fellowship is available (project already funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation) for an enthusiastic PhD student to work in regenerative medicine mechanobiology for respiratory diseases. We offer outstanding research and training opportunities with access to state-of-the-art biophysical and tissue engineering techniques. The student will carry out a multi-disciplinary project aiming to understand how the biophysical microenvironment including the extracellular matrix and mechanical cues of the lung can contribute to stem cell differentiation and enhance their therapeutic potential and tissue regeneration.
We are looking for excellent candidates with an interest in multidisciplinary science. The applicant will use advanced biophysical techniques (atomic force microscopy, lab on a chip, 3D bioprinter, tissue engineering) for regenerative medicine in respiratory diseases (cellular and animal disease models. The applicants should have already finished or should finish by July 2022 his/her MSc degree (in Engineering, Physics, Life Sciences or related fields).
